CLUTCH COVER
DIAPHRAGM COVER
This is the most common type of clutch cover. It disengages by pushing down the diaphragm.
LEVER TYPE COVER
The clutch disengages when the levers are pushed down. This cover uses springs to create
the clamp load.
PULL TYPE COVER
In this very particular design the clutch disengages when the bearing pulls the diaphragm.
This type of cover supports higher torque with less effort.
SELF-ADJUSTING COVER
The self-adjusting cover uses small springs that turn a ramped ring, which maintains the
cover at the proper height throughout the life of the clutch. This mechanism increases the
life of the clutch, and the effort needed to activate the clutch remains relatively the same.
REPLACEMENT FOR SELF-ADJUSTING COVER
We have developed several regular diaphragm covers to replace the self-adjusting cover. The
components do not look the same, but their performance is very similar. They are LESS expensive,
and EASIER to install.
